Dr. Calvin Chan
Dr. Calvin Chan earned his Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1997 and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from UBC in 2001. Over more than two decades he has built a reputation for excellence in both dentistry and patient care, with patients coming from across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. He is known as a gentle, caring dentist, takes continuing-education courses around the world to stay at the cutting edge, and is a clinical instructor at the UBC Faculty of Dentistry, teaching graduating dental students. He also volunteers dentistry for underprivileged communities abroad. Dr. Chan is especially dedicated to smile design and cosmetic dentistry — because nothing projects confidence like a great smile.
Our team
Soso is our treatment coordinator — often the first and last smile you’ll see at your visit. With many years of experience in dentistry, she handles everything from scheduling to billing and liaising with insurance companies about your treatment plan. Her warm, courteous manner is the heart of Spectrum’s focus on customer service.
Raj graduated from the Dental Receptionist Program at Vancouver Community College in 2012 and is a key part of our front desk. She looks after treatment coordination, keeps patients up to date on checkups and cleanings, and answers insurance and financial questions in a friendly, helpful way.
Rubbie graduated from the Vancouver Community College Dental Hygiene program in 2010. Passionate about caring for others, she uses the latest technology to help patients achieve their healthiest smile, and loves being part of the Spectrum team.
Carmina qualified as a Certified Dental Assistant from CDI College in 2019. Her friendly, outgoing personality puts patients at ease in the chair, and she is meticulous with antiseptic protocols. Originally from Macau, in her spare time she enjoys Pilates, aerial yoga and time with her cat.
Alice is our chairside assistant — highly organized and caring, and always happy to answer questions about your visit, your insurance coverage or your treatment plan.
